Lesson 3
Walking Bass Lines in 1940/50 style.

Even nowadays they are very used!
1.- Chord approach: using the chord notes 1,3,5,7 and their inversions. Eventually you can use auxiliary or "escape notes": the sixth usually resolving to the fifth, the ninth usually resolving to the root.

3.- In addittion to that, they used chromatic approaches to the root of the following chord.

¡Buen trabajo!
With this idea in mind, you can practice exercises over II-V-I strings using different approaches on each chord and improve your own lines.
If you want a worksheet to start you own practice, feel free to send me an email and I'll send it to you totally for free.
Keep practicing!
